There are sadly a number of budget printing companies out there - online and physical - reeling in customers with marketing ploys - and a cheap product. Recently-available inexpensive, low-quality digital printing equipment and computer software has unfortunately opened up the field to amateur printers producing inferior products. Though using these companies may save you a few pounds initially, their products will often do more harm than good to you and your business.
False economy...
To use a cliché: you really do get what you pay for, and a business card will always be one of the most important items that you will buy for your business. By its nature, a business card is often the first impression - and many times, the last, if you don’t get it right - that a contact or potential client will have of you and your business, and is often regarded as an indication of the quality that a potential client can expect of you, your products and services. Whilst a comparably inexpensive purchase, the impact that a business card can have on your business is huge - whether good...or bad. We genuinely feel that saving what is in reality a very small amount of money, by opting for lower quality business cards, has got to be one of the worst examples of a “false economy” that any business could make.

In terms of product quality, the vast majority also print using (cheaper to buy and run) digital printing equipment and often use low-quality, thin card. Add these elements together, and you're left with an inferior-quality business card, that in reality will do much more harm to your business than if you were without business cards altogether!

 

Our experienced designers professionally and personally design all of our business cards - if required - using state-of-the-art computer software, and we print using very high-quality, high-resolution lithographic printing machinery, which results in ultra-crisp and ultra-professional print quality - as well as enabling us to print onto extra-thick, quality 400gsm card (the thickest available). This gives you a fantastic, smooth business image, giving you the best chance of success.

How can I pay?
You can pay online using any major UK debit or credit card, on the Prices & Buy online page, or you can pay using a PayPal account if you prefer. We securely process all of our payments using PayPal, which we have found to be the most secure, convenient and flexible payment system, being used by over 115 million people worldwide. Please note: you don't need a PayPal account to order. You can also pay by phone if you prefer, please call us on 08456 808 102 (calls charged at local rate), or BACS bank transfer if this is more convenient (please contact us).

 

We are occasionally asked if we can provide a 30-day account for businesses, and/or provide physical proofs before payment. We always provide our clients with electronic proofs for their approval as part of the order process; but as part of our efforts to provide a truly premium-quality product, at a fraction of the cost of our competitors (of similar quality) and/or traditional methods, please be advised that providing accounts/physical proofs aren't our normal terms of business, although we're always happy to discuss proof requirements with orders of higher quantities. DELIVERY & TURNAROUND

 

How long will my order take?
Once we receive your order, we will start working on your design (if required), typically emailing you a proof for your approval within a maximum of 1-2 working days. After this, your order will then usually be delivered to you within 4-7 working days by our courier. Alternatively, if you need your business cards very quickly, you can use our new digital express service (please see below).

 

I need some business cards very soon and can't wait, can you help?
Yes. We are often asked this question, perhaps when an unexpected meeting arises and our client finds they’re very low on - or completely out of - cards. Due to popular request, we now offer an express service, which is available on our high quality digital business cards (400gsm, unlaminated). Our express digital business cards are printed digitally to a high quality, and - like our premium business cards - come with our acclaimed personal customer service and design services. Can I collect my order from your premises?

In order to provide truly premium products and a personal, attentive service - for a fraction of the cost of traditional methods - we operate predominantly as an internet-only business in order to keep our ongoing business costs down, and to be able to pass these savings onto our clients. In extreme cases, we're always happy to accomodate any special delivery requirements, but in most cases our 24-hour guaranteed, signed-for courier delivery service (by UKMail) will be the most efficient and convenient means of getting your order to you.

 


 

I need multiple sets of cards for my company, with the same design but with different names & contact details...
No problem. We have many satisfied clients from companies small to large, and offer competitive discount packages for multiple orders - please contact us and request a custom quote. A discount is available when ordering more than 1 set at a time, with a further discount at 5+ sets.


I’d like some matching letterheads/compliment slips as well...
No problem. Just contact us and request a custom quote for these, and we will quickly put together a competitive package quote for you.

 


 

 

ARTWORK & DESIGN

 

What does your "free artwork" promotion cover?
Our free artwork promotion covers basic artwork creation (at our discretion) of one design - after you have briefed us on the sort of design you are looking for - and includes 2 electronic proofs for your approval (i.e. one amendment before your final proof). The offer alternatively covers re-formatting/editing of your current artwork, if provided in a suitable format (at our discretion). This service is available on orders of 500 business cards or more. Please contact us if you'd like further information before ordering.

 

I have some basic artwork already, e.g. a logo, a simple design I've put together, or a website etc. that I’d like to use...
No problem. We will correctly format any artwork or designs you have to make them ready for print, do any minor alterations, and will stick very closely to your current house-style, website, etc., if required. After ordering, simply email us any ideas/logos/images you have, and we will work to your brief. This service usually comes under our “free artwork” offer (terms apply) and does not usually incur any extra charge.


I do not have any artwork or logos, but I have some ideas...
Many of our clients choose to opt for our full personal design service - please contact us to see if this will incur any extra charge on your order, as this is dependent on the complexity of the design. After you’ve placed your order, you will be emailed an order confirmation, which contains details of the information that we need from you in order to provide you with the design that you're looking for. Just email us back with the requested information, including any artwork/ideas you may already have, and we'll get started.

 

Many of our clients have a clear idea of the sort of look and image they’d like to achieve, (and often have a logo or image/photograph that they'd like to use on their cards); while others simply wish to start with a blank canvas, and be inspired by a number of design choices that we can provide, choosing the one they like best for further development. In either of these cases, after ordering, simply email us any ideas/logos/images that you may have, and we will work very closely to your brief. Our in-house professional designers will personally create a choice of 2-3 custom designs for you, and can stick very closely to your current house-style, or to your website, etc.

 

I have my own completed artwork - what do I do?
If you’re providing your own completed artwork, before emailing it to us, please take extra care to ensure that it complies with the following specifications:-


Supplied artwork should be:-
-85x55mm, +3mm bleed. This means that your artwork/background needs to extend by 3mm on each edge. (91x61mm total inc. bleed).
-Any text or images that don't bleed off should - as a recommendation - be a minimum of a further 3mm in from the bleed line
-CMYK colour mode
-Any areas of solid black (graphics, backgrounds, large display type) should be RICH Black, made up of: C:40% M:0% Y:0% K:100%
-Any images/photographs should be in TIFF format, or maximum-quality JPG; and at a resolution of 600dpi
-Your artwork should be output as a (vector) Press Quality PDF (with embedded fonts and images).

-Final artwork submitted to us should be created suitably for high-resolution 4-colour process lithographic printing.

I need a colour-match to my current business cards...
Colour matches to Pantone (PMS) references and/or physical samples are available if required, please contact us for further information.
