How much are your business cards?

Please have a look at our product pages, where you’ll find a sample table of our standard prices on each page. For different quantities – including discounts for multiple sets of business cards, or a package quote for multiple items – or any special requirements, please contact us for a custom quote. You may also be interested to know that – as a thank you – we also offer a loyalty discount to our returning customers (based on our standard single-set prices), available on most of our products

How do I order? What payment methods do you accept?

You can either place your order online, by using the prices tables on our product pages – and clicking a ‘Buy Now’ button beside the item you require, which will take you to our secure checkout system where you can pay by PayPal or credit card/debit card; or, alternatively, please contact us to request a pro-forma invoice to be emailed to you prior to you placing your order, if you’d prefer to pay by bank transfer. Please note that – due to the nature of our business – we usually require full payment to be made before accepting, and starting work on, your order. We thank you in advance for your understanding

Do you offer a proof/sample before ordering? What if I want to change something?

We do offer sample packs of our products for you to look at prior to placing your order, please head over to our Samples page where you’ll be able to request these. Please note that any samples provided are intended to be used only as a general guide, and that – particularly with our bespoke Individual range, where each card can differ due to the nature of production – we can’t guarantee that your order will be exactly the same as any samples we’ve provided. In terms of an artwork proof, we usually email an electronic proof of any artwork – for your approval – before proceeding to produce your order. This is usually done within 1 working day of receiving payment for your order. We usually include 2 rounds of amendments (excluding author’s amendments) with our artwork services*. If you’d like a physical proof producing so that you can see what your business cards will look like before we produce the full quantity, we do offer this for an additional charge on Individual orders only, and can do this as part of your order – after we’ve received payment for your full order. Delivery, Turnaround & Refunds

When will I receive my order? Do you offer an ‘express’ service?

Our standard turnaround on Premium business cards and stationery is 5-6 working days, and we also offer Priority turnaround (delivery in 3 working days, subject to availability) for an additional charge. Our turnaround on Individual business cards and stationery is roughly 7-10 working days, though this can be a few days either side, depending on our work load and the options you’ve chosen for your order (e.g. a custom card colour/weight). We send our orders out by courier, on a next-working day service, and your order will usually be with you by 5:30pm the next working day after despatch. If you require a timed delivery (which would incur an additional charge), we’re happy to accommodate any special requests wherever we can – please mention any special requests you have at time of order. We also offer interim digital business cards – intended to serve as a stop-gap for specific commitments you may have, prior to receiving your full order – which we can deliver to you in as little as 1 working day (subject to availability). Please contact us for more information and pricing. Please note that our turnaround and delivery times are taken from point of final artwork approval, and any changes made after this point – where possible – could result in a delay, and additional charge. Timescales are provided as estimates in good faith only, and – due to the nature of production – are in no way guaranteed, though of course we’ll do all we can to fulfil any special requests

Refunds/order cancellations

As we produce customised, personalised products, we regret that – in compliance with the Consumer Protection Regulations (2000) – and as the nature of our business means we predominantly operate business to business – we can’t offer a refund on any of our products, once work has started on any stage (including orders placed for specific card, foil, plates etc.; any artwork/design work; and/or any production). However, as a caring and understanding business, we know that occasionally things can go wrong. If you’re not happy with your order for any reason, please contact us and let us know your concerns. We’d like to know, and – wherever possible, and if appropriate – will do all we can to resolve the situation. Depending on the individual circumstance, this may include e.g. the offer of a reprint, at our discretion

 

Artwork

Can you design my business card for me?

Yes! We offer a simple artwork service – which covers the creation of simple artwork to your brief, and usually includes us using your logo and provided details to create an electronic proof for you – please ask for an artwork quote. We also offer a complimentary artwork check service, as well as a complimentary artwork amendment service (using your provided vectorised/editable PDF, along with any fonts/graphics/logos required, to change contact details for different staff members) – please ask for more details. We also offer a logo and graphic vectorisation service (to recreate your provided logo/content to make it production-ready and of the highest quality, if needed). Can I provide my own artwork? How do I get it to you?

Of course! When you’ve placed your order, you’ll receive an email confirmation shortly after. If you haven’t sent us your artwork already, then please reply to this email (sent from info@ultimatebusinesscards.co.uk) with your print-ready artwork, making sure to comply with the specifications below

Artwork specifications

We request that all artwork is set up as follows:

Premium (printed) range
-85x55mm
-+3mm bleed
-any content that bleeds off should – we recommend – be a minimum of 4mm in from the trim line
-CMYK colour mode
-any areas of solid black (graphics, backgrounds, etc.) should be ‘rich black’, made up of: C:40% M:0% Y:0% K:100%
-any non-vectorised content e.g. photos, should be set to 300dpi and compressed as little as possible
-exported as a vectorised PDF with trim and crop marks (with embedded fonts and images)

Individual (bespoke) range
-85x55mm
-+3mm bleed
-any content that bleeds off should – we recommend – be a minimum of 4mm in from the trim line
-all content (regardless of chosen colour(s)) needs to be in black only (100% K)
-all content needs to be ‘split for colour’, meaning the content which is to be in different colours/options (e.g. different foil colours or blind debossing), needs to be on separate PDF pages or files
-all text converted to outlines
-exported as a vectorised PDF (all included content needs to be vectorised)

We also recommend the following for Individual orders: a minimum font size (standard regular/medium font) of 5.5pt, a minimum line thickness (including white space) of 0.75pt, and that you don’t use type or graphics which are very thin, or very lightly letter spaced. The foiling and debossing processes work better the thicker, larger and more spaced out the content is, so please bear this in mind when producing your artwork, or supplying us with your brief

Can you colour-match to my current business card, my artwork, or to a Pantone (PMS) reference?

For our Premium range, these products are printed process/CMYK, and as such we can’t guarantee a colour match to either your current business card, any artwork (including artwork we’ve created for you), or to a Pantone reference. Colours can vary from screen to print, and shouldn’t be considered as accurate, due to normal production limitations. However, if colour is really critical to you, we do offer a sample service, and can print a single business card for you so that you can see how the colours come out, prior to us producing your full order. Please contact us to discuss this, and to verify any additional charges. For our Individual range, as all content is produced in metallic or non-metallic foil, of which the choice of shades for each colour is relatively limited, we also can’t guarantee a colour match to your current business card, any artwork (including artwork we’ve created for you), to a Pantone reference, or to a photo you’ve seen (including any of our own photos, as the appearance of these, and the photo taken, shouldn’t be considered as accurate). We can usually select a foil shade which is the closest we have to your intended/requested colour, though with no guarantees. If you’d like us to post you some foil samples as part of your order, for you to choose the shade yourself, this is usually possible, so please ask us when placing your order
