Introducing our Premium Individual range. We're delighted to now offer a choice of unique, exclusive business card finishes, which are designed with the discerning client in mind.

These options are primarily intended for those in creative fields (e.g. design, photography, the arts), as well as for personal business cards, but of course they're also an excellent choice for a wide range of business types.

Please note: for most clients, our Premium lithographic business cards will be the best choice, as these are available in full colour, in a wide range of quantities, and they're quicker to produce.

Embossing and Debossing
Embossing is a very unique and desireable effect, which raises content (e.g. a logo, text, graphic) out of the card for a subtle 3D-like effect. This also makes the business card very tactile, enabling the holder to "feel" the raised part(s) of the card, and literally creating a new dimension. This effect alone can often transform even the simplest personal business card into something very special and unique.
Debossing is the opposite: the content is pressed into the card, providing similar impact, but with a different effect. Embossing and debossing can either be added as an option on our standard Premium business cards (i.e. white or printed card), raising printed content out of the card; or - for "blind embossing" (a subtle effect without print) - this can also be combined with other options e.g. metallic foiling (please see below) if desired. For the latter option, we have a wide range of quality bespoke card to choose from - including premium ultra-thick Colorplan 540gsm - which is available in a variety of colours and textures.

Letterpress Foil Business Cards
This is one of our specialities, and the combinations available for letterpress foil are almost endless. These business cards are expertly produced, with extreme care and attention to detail, and we think the startling results speak for themselves. Hot foil - available in a variety of colours, including gold, silver, copper and many more - is pressed into the card, which adds texture and interest, and has a unique metallic shine that changes intriguingly in different lights. These are available on e.g. Colorplan 540gsm ultra-thick bespoke card - which has a natural, grained texture; and is available in a wide range of colours - and we believe they're amongst the most exclusive and unique business cards available.

We also offer foiling as an additional feature on our Premium business cards - 400gsm silk art board, lithographically printed and matt/gloss laminated - for artwork that is more suited to the lithographic printing process overall, but would also benefit from foiling in certain areas. For those with a more modest budget, these 400gsm foiled/embossed cards are a much less costly option than our Individual 540gsm cards - please email us for a custom quote.
NOTES
Small quantities (100-200): If your design/artwork is suitable for our small foiling machine (minimalist design), you want our stock size (85x55mm), and one of our 6 stock colours (see below), we can offer 100-200 cards at a discounted price - please initially email your artwork or a draft/visual of your design for us to check suitability and for a quote. Non-stock colours are available at extra cost on these smaller amounts.
Prices include foiling/debossing dies. Blind or clear gloss de-embossing counts as 1 colour.
Artwork: Unless suitable “print-ready” artwork is supplied, there will be an artwork charge of approx. £25 for creating artwork to your draft/layout/design (logos extra). If you're supplying your own artwork, please supply as 100% black on white background, as a vectorised PDF, separated for colour. A mock-up of your design will also be useful if there's more than 1 colour on the same side.
Size: Standard sized 85x55mm - other sizes are available at an extra charge, on quantities of 250+.
Card: The standard card we use is Colorplan 540gsm. This is an uncoated card with a natural grain (matt) finish and is noticeably thicker and more tactile than the majority of business cards you'll come across. This is partly due to the fact that standard (mass production) printing processes (digital and litho) are unable to print onto this thickness/type of card. To give a comparison, most business cards you will come across are only around 300gsm, and some are even less.
Card colours: Standard card colours are - Ebony, Black, Dark Grey, Mist, Kraft, White and Ebony/White (duplexed). For quantities of 250+, all the 56 colours in the Colorplan range are available.
Foil colours: Most foil colours are available - but not neccessarily PMS matches - please enquire.
Multiple sets: The foil process is well-suited to small sets of cards with different names - if you wish to have different cards for various staff members, please ask us for a quote.
Courier delivery is £4.99; and all prices are + VAT. Prices offered are subject to “sight” of design/artwork/logo.
